SoBi or not SoBi

Ward 3 councillor Nrinder Nann’s motion for today’s meeting asks council to consider that if Uber will not honour their contract, that the City of Hamilton take over interim management of the existing network using area ratings from Wards 1, 2 and 3, and that Hamilton take the necessary steps to recover the costs (and damages) of operating the Sobi network, and that staff begin the process of a competitive procurement process to find a new group to manage this infrastructure.

New face on Ottawa Street

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Working at the Ottawa Street BIA is a new, memory-filled journey for me. As a kid, I would go through the world of fabrics with my mom. I sympathize with parents who have had to adjust schedules, find alternative child care, and who have been inconvenienced when schools have closed for student and staff safety. We will be re-examining our inclement …

Now a theatre near you

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]One can’t appreciate the genius of Stanley Kubrick on the small screen. His films are larger than life and so must be the presentation. On the silver screen, Kubrick’s films are a captivating and absorbing experience so it is terrific for Kubrick fans that the Playhouse Cinema on Sherman Street North is currently hosting a …
