Cafe Baffico opened, today, at King Street East and Balmoral.
The owner has created a bright and cozy atmosphere. He said he wants people to feel like guests in his home.
They’re still working on the menu but for lunch we had a sausage Florentine sandwich. The bread and sausage were made in house. The bread was so good we bought a loaf to take home. The sausage was delicious. My partner would have liked to see some garnishment on the plate, but it did hit the spot.
We washed it all down with a house blend Americano that was rich and flavourful and strong but not overly.
